Four Must Try Indoor Activities for Your Dog This Winter

Spine chilling winds, snow-laden roads and cold-filled weather just push you and your pooch to stay indoors. It’s really a tough job to make your pooch stay indoors as anxiety and lethargy make him vulnerable to dog diseases. When your pet is an active animal jumping, running and playing all the times outdoors, you have to find some ways to keep him indoors.

Here are the top four ways that help keep your pooch happy, healthy and active indoors even when the winter is harsh outdoors.

Indoor Exercises
Cold winds and icy surfaces surely make it difficult to take your pooch outdoors for exercise. That doesn’t mean you have to totally stop your pet from doing exercises. Just remove that extra furniture in a specific area of your house and make enough room for you and your pooch. Start with the normal exercise you used to do outdoors with your furry pal. Giving just half-an-hour everyday will help your pooch greatly to stay healthy and active without being hit by anxiety and keep him busy.

Staircase Games
Some pets are too choosy to follow you up with those exercise routines. Well, make a new arrangement for such pets. Create your own staircase game for your pooch. Make him run up and down with that tennis ball or something else, which can attract him/her. With the help of your family member at the top and you at the bottom of the stairs, and a little monkey-in-the-middle on the steps surely gives a good run indoors. This makes your pet active and burns those extra calories to stay fit during winter.

Treat Games
Treats are also a great way to help your pet stay active indoors. Bring some treats, which your furry pal may like most. Held high in the hand and make your pooch jump for it. Well, this is the most common one that most of you might be doing with your pets. But, it surely burns most calories and help your pet enjoy the treat. You can also help your pet learn different new tricks by rewarding with treats. Learning tricks require most of his attention making him most active and pass his time indoors.

DOGA
If you are great fan of yoga, then surely you will love to enjoy doga with your furry pal. DOGA is nothing but doing yoga with your dog. This helps your doggy to enjoy the act along with making him relax and happy. This activity reduces indoor anxiety and helps your pooch stay healthy.
